She is the most influential female vocalist to date. She has sold over 170 million albums,singles,and videos worldwide. Whitney Houston, according to music historians is the only artist to have seven #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits one after the other. She has had countless hits on the Billboard charts. Her "Bodyguard" soundtrack went 17 times platinum in the US. Her version of Dolly Parton's, "I will Always Love You." went 4 times platinum.
